2008 Cartridge Recycling Program
| Details: |
In North America, over 350 million cartridges are thrown out each year. A laser cartridge thrown into landfill can take up to 450 years to decompose. Some components made of industrial grade plastics will take over a thousand years to decompose. By participating in the Cartridge World Recycling Program, the Greensboro Jaycees can earn money for both laser and inkjet cartridges collected. Cartridge World Recycling Program is currently paying $.50 per inkjet and $1.00 per laser cartridge. Please bring your used cartridges to the Jaycee Office or a membership meeting. Summit House Drive

We are collecting needed items for Summit House including clothing for mothers and children (infant to age 7), especially pajamas and other bed clothes. Computers, filing cabinets, and any type of kitchen utensils are needed. Other items include games, puzzles, and books for both the mothers and infants. Bring your items to the Jaycee office.

Please on your RSVP tell me if you are coming to dinner (yes or no). I will not accept maybe RSVP's for dinner. I will not accept "yes" for dinner if your notice is within 24hrs of the event. I say this simply because anyone who has been to Rearn Thai knows i will have to call ahead. I have not implemented a policy about no-shows at events and I don't want to start now. So please be kind and thoughtful and if you say yes ... please show up!

Camp Carefree

| Details: | Since 1986 Camp Carefree has provided a free, one week camping experience for youngsters from North Carolina and neighboring states with specific health problems and disabilities.
On Saturday, April 26 we will be going out to help with landscaping -- mulching, putting down paper, and helping to plant some bushes.
We will meet at 9 am at the Jaycee office and work until about noon.
